It works easy, just install and there you go . I’ve been working with this for more than a year and NEVER had any problem.
I’ve read that MS found out about people using Office 2007 without having paid for it. Not everybody, but some might get the message “Not Genuine”. This makes sure you can’t update your Office. (I haven’t had this message with my version though)
There is ofcourse, a fix for this:

The instruction is easy, you just open the .reg file and reboot your computer.
In case the software ever asks for a cdkey or whatsoever (again, I never had such problem), you might use a key generator:
